The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) is a volunteer-run program open to both boys and girls in Grades 3rd – 8th within the boundaries of the St. Isidore or St. Joan of Arc parishes. Athletes do not have to be Catholic to participate but simply seek to enjoy track and field in a Christian environment, practice Christian attitudes and responsibilities, and become friends with other children throughout the Oakland Diocese.
Practices: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 4:00-5:30pm; plus 4 Sundays before the meets. See Calendar page.
Meets: Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm on March 18, 25 and April 1, 15 (Relay Meet), 22, 29 (Qualifying Meet); May 6 and 13 for athletes who qualify
Athlete Expectations: Attend at least two (2) practices per week; Participate in at least 2 of the 4 regular meets; Participate in the Qualifying Meet (4/29/23)
Parent Expectations: Fulfill the mandatory volunteer requirement by helping at practices and meets or in a coach/organizational role.
Cost: Registration Fee is $175 per athlete ($450 total for families of 3 athletes or more); volunteer deposit is $300. Please note that we had to raise the registration fee this year to cover the increased costs from suppliers, etc. Thank you for your understanding.
